Legacy Elite Youth Organization Basketball Program

Mission Statement: To teach young men and women in Cabarrus County and the surrounding areas how to become valuable members of the community by instilling the values of hard work, honesty, sportsmanship, loyalty, teamwork and character. 

LEYO Goals:

• To establish a youth basketball organization called Legacy Elite Youth Organization with the aim to compete in all Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) competitions at the highest levels, locally and nationally
• To establish Legacy Elite IN COMMUNITY, a 501c3 not-for-profit organization providing A Community Food Bank, Homeless Hygiene Drive, Sponsored Meals for low-income Seniors, Grocery Pop-Ups in marginalized neighborhoods throughout Cabarrus County and the surrounding areas
• To establish Legacy Elite COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP FUND for extraordinary student-athletes  in Cabarrus County and the surrounding areas

LEYO Vision: 

• Develop a foundation of fundamental basketball skills for all participants of LEYO Academy
• Teach and promote good sportsmanship
• Enhance individual contribution to the team effort
• Provide a competitive environment for league and tournament play
• Promote a spirit of camaraderie among all players and parents
• Use athletic principles to foster lifestyle skills, personal leadership, good hygiene, team work and good character  

Program Summary: Legacy Elite Youth Organization (LEYO) is an organization whose mission is driven by a passionate belief that we all are accountable to one another.  LEYO’s Basketball program not only focuses on athletic skill and ability, but also academic excellence, proper health/fitness and well-being.  Our goal is to grow our young people into successful adults that will contribute to the community now and in the future. The staff of LEYO’s Basketball program are committed to the mission and vision of the Legacy Elite Youth Organization.
